As this is the last season the NY Mets will play at Shea Stadium, TGP contributor Will Lugo honors the home of his favorite baseball team

Next year it will be replaced by Citi Field.

To tribute the Mets and where they played for 44 years, Will appeard well before the fans on the evening of a game this summer to photographically immortalize Shea Stadium.

So it's goodbye to Shea Stadium, from the familiar and welcoming exterior -

It is almost an eerie sensation to see the new Citi Field going up next to soon to be vacant Shea.

From within, fans can see the new ballpark rising up from just beyond Shea's outfield scoreboards.

But let's never forget the triumphs that took place at She Stadium.  And as Lugo, a lifelong Mets fan, would say, "Let's Go Mets!"
