It is, without a doubt, the number one answer that I get when I ask someone why they don’t scrapbook…

“I don’t have time.”

Our schedules are packed with work, kids, home, sports, and social activities. We lug our digital cameras with us, dutifully recording the events and moments that make up our busy lives. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, many of the memories are stored deep in our hard drives. We’d like to take the time to get all of our pictures into albums…and we’d love to scrapbook, but we just can’t make it happen.

For me, it’s not a matter of scrapping recent photos…I do that often. It’s the photo boxes full of prints from years past that are daunting. It’s the file of additional photos that I’ve taken of every event…just to make sure that I got the right shot. So, even though I devote a good chunk of my time to scrapbooking, I still run short.

That’s exactly why I was so excited when I saw the Share & Tell™ program from Pebbles, Inc. It’s such a simple idea, really: create an album that is part photo storage, part scrapbook. Oh, and make it flexible so that I can devote as much (or as little) time to getting creative as I want. Pebbles Inc did just that! Here’s how to Share & Tell™ your own stories…

1 - Start with a basic D-ring album in a generous 13x15 size. Pebbles Inc offers this album in black & chocolate brown. It features a metal label holder on the spine, and durable metal corners.

2 - Add 12x12 sheet protectors in your choice of 2 configurations: a standard 12x12 layout protector or a 4x6 photo storage protector (holds 6 photos).

3 - Now decide how much, or how little, time you can devote to your album. Go ahead & mix it up! The great thing about this album is that it can hold layouts AND photos…it’s really one size fits all!

4 – The Share & Tell™ program offers Journaling Cards that fit into the 4x6 photo slots…a creative way to add the details to a group of photos without devoting a lot of time. Feel like getting a little more creative? Grab a set of Creative Cards and make a super-quick 4x6 title cards to dress up your photo page.

Ready? Let’s get started…

I have a stack of photos from a spring cruise that my family took a few years ago. I know that I’ll never get all the photos onto layouts, so I just want a quick way to get the photos into an album…

I added a journaling card from the Travel Collection to capture the basic details of the trip…

For the next set of photos, I didn’t want to use every image on my layout...but I wanted to keep the collection together. I used a 12x12 protector next to a 4x6 photo page, and added a Creative Card to tie the pages together….

I've done this with vacations where I knew I couldn't even begin to scrap all the pix I took. I liked the idea so that I didn't have to choose just a few of the wonderful pix and places I visited. Have not used the Pebbles kit as I didn't know it existed but will check it out now.

That makes total sense to me... I get overwhelmed with all the stuff in scrapebooking... this is simple and way less cluttered. Thanks.
