Central Park Skate

Central Park Skate

Every week, Fujifilm Photographer Brandon Remler sends a new unique image to his mailing list of friends, family, and fans.

Article rating: 6.67

This week's email shows the benefits of using a wide-angle lens to capture a landscape.  Besides including more of the scene in his image, the wide-angle lens creates a slight distortion - the curvature in the skyscrapers and trees in the background, as well as the promenade overhang in the foreground, creates a nice depth of field.

As Brandon says in his email:

"Central Park is looking great on an almost 60 degree day while folks in for the holiday enjoy the ice skating."
