My primary areas of interest in photography are nature and landscapes. I have always enjoyed being outdoors, taking in the wonders of Mother Nature. There’s nothing like photographing a beautiful location at sunrise or sunset. The only sounds that fill the calm air are the animals around you and the click of the camera shutter. Add to this the golden light, and in my opinion it makes for one of the most relaxing scenes one can find. Shooting wildlife pictures presents another way to challenge my photography skills. I am still out enjoying beautiful areas, but have the challenge of finding wildlife to photograph. I enjoy the hunt to find my subjects, the stalking of them to get close enough, waiting until they decide to make that perfect pose, and then taking the shot. I liken it to a hunter, except my subject lives on for me to “shoot” again. Living in a country as beautiful as ours gives me an unlimited number of locations to enjoy and refine my hobby. I look forward to photographing as many as possible. ![]() Alum Creek © 2007 Jim Bau
