If you frequently visit an area close to where you live, try to challenge yourself to find a new perspective as you photograph it.

This sunset panorama view of lower Manhattan was shot while Brandon Remler was sailing down the Hudson this week. The final image was then created by blending four images.

It was interesting to see how small and compact the island appears to be from this vantage point in comparison to how big it seems when you are walking down the streets surrounded by towering skyscrapers. The prospective of New York City is so different in this photograph.

See if you can photograph a familiar place and try to see it in a new way through the lens of your camera.
