New York City was alive with the feeling and energy of the Pope and the UN delegates last week. Now what that means to New Yorkers is gridlock and barricades all over the area for some, but if you prefer the subway or walking, life is pretty much the same.

When the Pope came down through Central Park I was up on a slight ridge waiting to see if he looked my way. As luck would have it, he did, and with the help of a 400mm lens at 800 ISO I was able to get a decent shot of him.


The crowds were amazing to watch as well. Basically every single arm was up with a smartphone.
