Not much needs to be said about the catastrophe which struck the northeast last week. Hurricane Sandy left a wave of destruction which is still being felt by tens of thousands of homeless people out in the cold.

I've posted over 50 images to the blog but here are a few favorites to give you an idea of life around NYC a little time after the storm.  The image looking up Fifth Ave to the Emprire State building was shot around 10pm as the storm approached and the power went out below 23rd St.  The next image is the flooded entry to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel on the east side.  The last is the stark difference between the uptown and downtown areas of Manhattan.  After the storm power was out the whole week below 33rd Street in most areas.
