	Great tip and explanation of the value of the layer mask. Prior to reading this, (using a tripod) I would have taken three identical shots: one exposed for highlights, one for shadow detail, and one for midtones. Posted by: Abe Wischnia Aug 7, 2008 @ 5:19 PM EST
