Contest: Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest

Description: The mission of the Coastal Bend Wildlife Photo Contest, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization, is to create an atmosphere of cooperation among businesses, private landowners, and wildlife photographers, where all participants benefit while promoting the conservation and protection of wildlife and habitat. This unique collaboration promotes awareness of the need for conservation and protection of the wildlife and habitat in newly expanded fourteen counties surrounding Corpus Christi, Texas. Funding is made possible by individuals and businesses that want to preserve the beauty of their community through sponsorships.

Landowners and Photographers compete as teams and share equally in the significant prize money. Additionally, they promote wildlife conservation while participating in the most challenging wildlife photo contest in the world.

Businesses benefit through advertising sponsorships that offer years of positive exposure.

Wildlife prospers as private landowners play a crucial role in the conservation of wildlife by providing diverse and well-managed habitat.

The community becomes more educated about the unique and beautiful wildlife in our region. Winning photographs are showcased in books, magazines, and our traveling Benefactor’s Photo Exhibit displayed in sponsor’s businesses, museums, art centers, and special events.

Prizes: $90,000 in cash will be awarded as prizes. Prize money will be split equally between winning landowners and photographers in all categories:

Grand Prizes will be awarded to the photographer-landowner teams that accumulate the most money from all classes and divisions.

$21,000 in Grand Prizes:

    * 1st Place receives $6,000
    * 2nd Place receives $5,000
    * 3rd Place receives $4,000
    * 4th Place receives $3,000
    * 5th Place receives $2,000
    * 6th Place receives $1,000

$6,000 in Division Prizes First, Second, and Third place in each of the five (5) divisions pays:

    * 1st Place receives $500
    * 2nd Place receives $400
    * 3rd Place receives $300

$63,600 in Class Prizes - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each of the fifty three (53) classes pays:

    * 1st Place receives $500
    * 2nd Place receives $400
    * 3rd Place receives $300

Deadline: Register by January 31st, 2007, submissions are due July 1, 2007
