A True Renaissance Man

Article rating: 4.10

William Shatner is one of the best-known film and television actors in the world. His most recent credits include the hit movie “Showtime” with Robert DeNiro and Eddie Murphy; “Miss Congeniality” with Sandra Bullock and Michael Caine; a recurring role on NBC’s “Third Rock from the Sun” earning him an Emmy nomination; international spokesperson and star of Priceline.com’s groundbreaking television and radio commercials; the host of “The Miss USA Pageant”; the host of UPN’s “Iron Chef USA”; “National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon”; “Star Trek: Generations”, and “Groom Lake”, a film he co-wrote, starred in and directed, due to release this year.

Bill’s prolific career also includes scriptwriting, directing and producing, as well as starring roles in the hit Television series “Star Trek”, “TJ Hooker” and “Rescue 911”. Add the additional credits of numerous Broadway shows, dozens of feature films, television documentaries, co-founder and CEO of special effects house, C.O.R.E. Digital Pictures, Inc., author of 27 books, horse-breeder and active philanthropist, and you began to understand why William Shatner is often referred to as a modern-day Renaissance Man. Bill’s consistent passion, however, is family. He loves spending time with his three daughters and their children. He and his wife Elizabeth divide their time between their hilltop home in Los Angeles and their horse farm in Kentucky.

Most people know Bill Shatner as a fine actor in Film, Television and Theater. He is also an accomplished writer, director, videographer and still photographer.  Did I forget to mention he happens to be a great horseman?, If  Bill had to  choose a different profession he’d probably be a real cowboy or professional racecar driver. Both of which he does with great enthusiasm and skill.
