I have always enjoyed photography and worked my way up through several cameras. At first it was just about taking pictures of family to be put away and forgotten. Then I took a photography course at a local jr collage, bought some books on the subject and soon began taking photographs instead of pictures. Now everything I look at has some interest. It changed the way I look at things. The photo of the old hinge and door was an exposure challenge that required two stops under exposure. No autoexposure camera could have taken this photograph.
