 What you'll need: 2 x 3-inch box with removable cover
8 x 10 sheet of pretty paper (lacy, flowers, hearts, etc.) Four horizontal photographs, each sized slightly smaller than 2 x 3 inches. Piece of colored cardstock cut the same size as the photographs. Decorative embellishment. Lacy ribbon, about 3/4-inch wide and 16-inches long Scissors, glue, ruler Here's what to do: 1. Cover the box and its cover with the pretty paper. Add a decoration, such as a small artificial flower, jewel, or ribbon, to the top.
2. Cut two 2 x 3-inch pieces of the pretty paper. 3. Write your message on the piece of cardstock. 4. On your work surface, put the pictures and papers face down. Arrange them in a horizontal row, starting with one 2 x 3-inch piece of pretty paper at the far left. Then, going left to right, place your message, then your pictures in the desired order. The bottom of the pictures and message should be at the left. Space everything 1/4-inch apart. 5. Glue the ribbon to the pictures and papers, making sure the ribbon is centered on them and that the pictures remain straight. 6. When the glue is dry, turn everything face up. 7. Glue the pretty paper to the inside of the box. 8. Hold the top of the ribbon and let the pictures fall back and forth into the box. 9. Glue or tape the free end of the ribbon to the inside of the box cover. Hide the end of the ribbon by glueing the second 2 x 3-inch piece of pretty paper over it. 10. Close the box. Notes: The measurements given here are for a 2 x 3 x 1-inch box. If your box is larger or smaller, use our dimensions as a guide, adjusting your measurements accordingly. Always be sure the glue is dry before proceeding to the next step.
Ideas: Instead of covering the box with decorative paper, color it with paint or other medium. Or use a box that is already decorated. Use more or fewer photographs and additional greetings. Use vertical pictures instead of horizontal ones. In this case, center the ribbon along the short sides of the photos
