The Colorful Way To Display Your Photos

You can be a book artist and display a group of photographs in a colorful way. This rainbow book can be bound with just a little glueing  no sewing required.

What You'll Need:

·        Six sheets of 8 1/2 x 11-inch cardstock, one each of  red, orange, yellow, green,
 blue, and purple

·        Glue stick

·        PVA adhesive (This dries clear, is strong, and is flexible)

·        Two binder clips

·         Craft knife and ruler

·        Six photographs, no larger than 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches. Each should have a   different predominating color of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.

What to do:
  1. Cut each sheet of cardstock in half so it measures 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Fold each sheet in half so the folded size is  4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.
  3. Stack the folded cards, carefully aligning them.
  4. Use the glue stick to adhere the back of each folded card to front of the  next one. Be sure glue is applied all along the edges, and take care to see that the folds are well aligned.
  5. Apply PVA adhesive along spine (folded edges) of the book.
  6. Place the binder clips on the spine to hold the pages together tightly until the adhesive has dried.
  7. When adhesive is dry, trim the pages if necessary. A craft knife and ruler are the best tools for this
  8. Glue a photograph to each right-hand page, matching the predominating color of the picture to the page color.
  9. Decorate the cover as desired

Notes and Other Ideas:

Putting a border around the photographs will set them off from the background. Use this easy bookmaking technique to make other small books, using cardstock of just one color. Make a book with smaller dimensions, even as small as 2 x 2 1/2 inches. In this case, you may want to have only four pages or use a lighter-weight paper.
