What was supposed to be a one-day venture turned into a yearlong project. Shot entirely in black and white, her photo essay, called “Run With It,” is the culmination of shooting the ruggers over the spring and fall 2004 seasons. The photographs were part of Rachman's photography show at Tribeca gallery Sugar in May 2004. Rachman, who’s a freelance producer when she’s not shooting, also embedded herself on the Village Lions’ 10-day tour of England and Ireland last spring. The result is another photo essay, in color and black and white, depicting the team both on the pitch and in the pubs. Rachman is working on a written essay about her experience. “I've learned a lot about life from the game,” she says. “It's pushed my photography in a totally new and exciting direction.” ![]() "Practice" © 2004 Rina Rachman
