Photo Flowers in a Pot

by Liz Israel
A Fresh Way to Display Your Photos

Article rating: 7.00

This is a fun project for you to try with your kids.  And it’s a perfect way to display your photos for spring.

What You’ll Need:

• Colored construction paper
• Scissors, Glue, Tape
• Photos of faces taken from the front
• Straws or Pipe cleaners
• Small flower pot
• Styrofoam ball
• Something to weight the ball such as small rocks

Here’s what to do:

1. Choose one color of paper to be the center of your flower.  Trace a circle and cut it out.

2. On a different colored piece of paper trace out the shape you want for your flower and then cut it out.

3. Cut out your photo and glue it to the center part of your flower.

4. Now you’re ready to glue the center piece to the petals.

5. Take a piece of tape and glue the straw to the back of your flower so that it works as the stem.

6. Take each finished flower and stick one end of the straw into the Styrofoam ball until the stem stays in place.

7. Place the ball into the flower pot and cover it with small rocks or any other objects that look nice and ad a little weight to hold it in place.

Notes:

You can get creative and ad leaves to your flowers or other decorations such as glitter and ribbon to decorate this pretty spring photo decoration.
