Patrick McMullan is a celebrated fashion photographer, photojournalist and fine art photographer based in New York City. The New Yorker's review of Patrick's last show at the Corning Gallery sums up his multifaceted sensibility: "Even when spliced between the fashion shows and parties, his reflective moments never seem tired or strung out - just tender idylls while the rest of the city sleeps."
A native New Yorker, Patrick was educated at New YorkUniversity where he majored in business and is said to have ‘minored in Studio 54’.It all began when Andy Warhol encouraged him to carry a camera everywhere he went.Today McMullan is asked to be everywhere and is considered both an invited guest and a member of the press.
"My definition of 'paparazzi' is that it isn't a very viable form. It just allows for so very little interaction. Me, I shoot people who I talk to. I'm more like the bar mitzvah photographer. I'm a social photographer who takes photos of people I see along myway."
