Article rating: 7.64

I enjoy photography because it forces me to slow down. As a mother and active community volunteer living in the D.C. area, time becomes a precious commodity.  I find that when I am taking pictures, I am less aware of the rush around me, and that I correspondingly enjoy life more. Many people have written of capturing a moment frozen in time - for me, photography is about recapturing time and learning to enjoy myself and my environment and life in general.
