If you want to take your holiday pictures further, here is a cool suggestion of turning it into a puzzle. Family portraits work particularly well for this project as it looks very funny to see familiar faces cut up and having to put them back together. This makes a great puzzle for kids as well as a great present. What you will need:
Here is how you do it: ![]() © 2004 Tina Maas Step 1 Glue your photograph onto the cardboard. Don’t choose cardboard that is too thick, because you will need to cut it later with your scissors.![]() © 2004 Tina Maas Step 2 If you want the puzzle to last longer I suggest protecting the surface of your photograph with a transparent sticky sheet of vinyl. Put it on carefully so that it will not form creases. ![]() © 2004 Tina Maas Step 3 Cut out the picture.![]() © 2004 Tina Maas Step 4 Now turn it around and with the help of the ruler divide the back of the cardboard into even squares. This is just a guide to make it easier to draw the puzzle shapes. Then start drawing the puzzle shapes by adding an inward or outward loop to each side of the squares you drew. It is pretty easy. Make the shapes all different so it is more fun playing with the puzzle.![]() © 2004 Tina Maas ![]() © 2004 Tina Maas Step 5 Now all you have to do is cut out the shapes carefully with your scissors. And then try to put them back together again. Have fun!!!![]() © 2004 Tina Maas ![]() © 2004 Tina Maas ![]() © 2004 Tina Maas
