Coinciding with the release of his critically acclaimed book, American Sports, 1970, Or, How We Spent The War In Vietnam (Aperture, February 2008), Tod Papageorge will discuss the spirit of this engaging project published here for the first time, which draws a subtle but sharp parallel between the war in Vietnam and the American attitude toward spectator sports.

The Robert Koch Gallery presents Shai Kremer: Broken Promised Land, a selection of large-scale color photographs of Israeli landscape transformed by military occupation. A publication of this body of work, Infected Landscape: Israel, Broken Promised Land, will be released in September 2008 by Dewi Lewis Publishing.
The Eddie Adams Workshop is an intense four-day gathering of the top professionals in photojournalism, along with 100 carefully selected students. This year it is held in Jefferson, NY, from October 10-13, 2008. Applications are accepted until May 2, 2008.

France Scully Osterman instructs the wet-plate collodion process two day workshop at Pittsburgh Filmmakers on May 31 & June 1, 2008. In this two day class, students will learn to make wet-plate collodion ambrotypes both in-camera and with an enlarger.
