Look For Patterns

Professional photographer Darryl Fong offers a summer photo tip.

Waikiki - Hololulu, HI. Changing of the guard at Waikikki's west end.  Surfers head out and in along the breakwater mid-afternoon. I was sitting out at the beach with my 70-200mm and saw these guys passing each other coming in and out of the water.  I thought they created an interesting color and pattern to break up the horizontal lines of the sky, jetty and ocean. (The "disorder into order" creative device from our workshop).

Lens (mm): 200
ISO 125
Aperture: 11
Shutter: 1/500
