Finding Abstract Elements

Finding Abstract Elements

Article rating: 8.00

On the trail to Manoa Falls. Hololulu, HI. With the trail wet and muddy from the Falls and precipitation, these tree roots took on a slimy, grotesque appearance.  People were slipping
all over these on a steep section of the trail, when I noticed their  unusual form. I chose the monochrome mode for this shot as well, to bring out the interesting texture and shapes.

Lens (mm): 13
ISO: 800
Aperture: 5.6
Shutter: 1/30
Exp. Comp.: -0.7
