 Three sisters bonded by marriage: This is a picture of how my wife Leah, our sister-in-law Nicole and our cousin Kierston try their hardest to be sexy at a Christmas party. Every woman has this in her -- the desire to replicate something they've seen in a magazine. What's funny is that in replication, everyone tries too hard. © 2006 Ross Shafer

This is the emotional reward for finally getting to our hotel (Atlantis in the Bahamas), as it had been an arduous trip and I had become temporarily deaf in one ear due to an infection.  This horse, Bella, was born 250 feet from our house. We drove by every day and watched her hobble her way to balance. When she was old enough, our neighbor let us get in the corral with her, and as you can see, Leah loves her. And truthfully, how many people look good hugging a horse? © 2006 Ross Shafer
 This was taken in the front of our house for Leah's album. We have this out-of-control grass in our yard that made a perfect ambiguous background for Leah's "attitude" shot. We used the picture in the booklet for her CD, Her Other Life. © 2006 Ross Shafer
