Mr. Delaney signed limited edition exhibit catalogs contributed by Blurb and spoke about his work in detail to the onlookers who approached him from every direction. The elbow-to-elbow audience made their way into the gallery to view Delaney's first solo exhibit. "It was a packed house," said Mr. Delaney, "I could not have asked for a better reception." Among those in attendance was Emily Davidson, wife of Bruce Davidson, one of Mr. Delaney's clients, who said, "Congratulations to John and to Mr. Farmani for this wonderful work, great job and keep up the good work." ![]() Photograph courtesy of Lindsay Comstock
Although not in attendance, Mr. Hossein Farmani sent many congratulations to Mr. Delaney and to his teams in Los Angeles and New York, "Congratulations and great job, we knew the work was special when we first laid eyes on it as an entry to the International Photography Awards competition. Thanks to everyone and special thanks to Elizabeth Barragan, the New York Gallery Director." Sarah Cho, IPA Competition Director, who received news of the success of the opening reception said, "In this age of constant visuals, Delaney's series seem to possess this unique power to not only captivate the viewer, but also leave a lasting imprint. His work has truly elevated the standards of our competition and we are excited to be receiving work of this caliber entered into the International Photography Awards." ![]() Photograph courtesy of Lindsay Comstock Farmani Gallery would also like to thank Blurb for its contributions of the exhibit catalog, which sold out during the evening and to Resource Magazine for its media coverage and support of its team, Sara Roth, Marketing Director, Lizzie Leitzell, photographer, and Sophia Betz, reporter, who attended the event and covered it for the Spring Issue of Resource Magazine.
