Come see some of the world's most amazing and thrilling downhill racing in the majestic beauty of Alaska.  The Arctic Man race combines snowmobiles (or snowmachines, as local Alaskans say) and either a skier or a snowboarder towed behind.  The race is a combination of a skier/snowboarder racing 2 miles through a canyon, then meeting up with the sled and grabbing a tow rope at 60 mph.  Then, the two race uphill at speeds of 86 mph, where the towee lets go and completes the race over the finish line.
