Art Walks are a local tradition and now have become renowned among visitors. Held seasonally the first Friday in March, May, October, and December from 5:00-8:00, they are free and open to the public. Maps are available at participating galleries. The French Quarter is located between S. Market and Tradd, Meeting and the waterfront. All galleries of the French quarter will be open with artists on hand and refreshments. But shopping is only part of the Anchorage Market & Festival's appeal. Our Main stage provides continual entertainment during operating hours of 10AM to 6PM while buskers (street entertainers) perform in the area by headquarters and in the aisles throughout the market. Our 36 food booths make us Anchorage's largest restaurant with the most diverse and exciting menu in town. However, food and shopping are 2nd and 3rd on the pollster's results as the reason to visit Anchorage Market & Festival.
