If you've been saving corks from bottles of wine and didn't know what to do with them, here's a corker of an idea: Turn them into holders for photographs. A group of them makes an appropriate table centerpiece when you're serving wine. Or you could use them as place cards. Or they can be just a novel way to display a few pictures. What You'll Need:
![]() Here's What to Do (for each holder): 1. Make sure the bottom of the cork is level. Trim with the knife if necessary. 2. Cut a wedge shape in the top of the cork, going down about 1/4 inch. Then cut straight down another 1/4 inch. This will make sort of a "Y" shape cut. 3. Insert the photograph into the cut. ![]() Notes and Other Ideas: You can use vertical pictures if they are not more than four inches tall. You may need to add a bit of moldable, reusable mounting adhesive to secure the photos. A serrated bread knife also works well to cut the cork.
