I took a photo class at FSU in 1980 and loved it. My 17 yr old daughter is really into photograhy too and has decided to pursue it as a photo journalist. I'm so proud of her.

| Those photos are beautiful. They're really quirky but at the same time very well composed and heartfelt. It's really rare to be able to capture your own personality when taking a photograph of something but these seem to have done that perfectly. Also, "Seven" - film can last for years, sometimes decades, if it is stored in a cool, dry place. Heat and moisture will cause the film to deteriorate in quality and you might not be able to get it developed.

| What I love is the composition of the shots. There's so much consistency. To have an eye for what makes an inspiring picture is a real gift. I really love a lot of these shots. I prefer paintings on my walls. But there are a few pictures here that I'd really like on my walls. Art is a subjective thing. I was at art college for about four years. I did a mix of graphics, illustration, painting and photography. I'm rather biased in favour of art that comes from the hand. The soul of the artist comes across almost despite them. I never thought that of photography. But now I'm not so sure. Pictures never to do well as they do when you see them in the flesh, so to speak. But I look at these photographs and some of them, I find really moving. I wonder what they're like close up. Hurray to to artist that did them, and please publish more on the web. | Tonight, I was wrapping Christmas presents and had the TV on mute in the background. The programme on was of Billy Connelly (a man with a gift), touring Austrailia. He was in an art gallery and the camera paused on a still. I don't know who by, since the TV was on mute. I can only describe it. The still was ia black and white portrait. It was of a man. He was smoking a cigarette. His focus was not on the camera. It was somewhere else. Not a pose, not even perhaps meditating on the camera, but on somewhere inside himself. The smoke was curling around the right side of his face mingling with his facial hair warping the line of his face. It almost looked like half a beard. A magical one. I remembered this site and my reflections about how photography can reach in a way I honestly hadn't appreciated before and I felt compelled to share. | I think that Brendan has to much on his mind. He's an actor and such is my son so I know that days of work are fully exausting. So even if he doesn't have time to answer your questions I guess he's really into work. I just wanted to tell Mr. Fraser that I am super glad to know that he's doing photo shoots. I really enjoy his arts, ok the movies too, but I would say that he has the eye for it. I was a artist (painter) but I started taking pictures with my Canon Rebel G Digital and it makes beautiful pictures...I use to paint to express my feelings...it's not easy to bring canvas and brushes everywhere with you...so I guess with my camera it's easier to make arts. I love what Brendan do as a photographer. He knows how to capture the motions and the emotions on cam. So congratulation Mr. Fraser. And keep on the good work.

| Misty, you can't expect that Mr. Fraser respond to your request. But you can hope, 'cause it's the only thing that we never really loose. So you can actually hope that one day Mr. Brendan will answer your questions. He is filming I think three movies in 2009 so probably he really don't have time for internet...or may be a little. So just keep posting nice comments about the person you admire. I do so... and I hope, but I don't wait an answer to live my life. | You seem to analyse the world but no-one ever really sees who you are. Your eyes reflect that you are way too hard on yourself and fed up with the superficial circus associated with being famous. Your photos reveal a deep loneliness and a sense of isolation - this is self imposed. Take a risk and show the world who you really are, trust your ability to connect to others. Your full potential is still to be realised Mr Fraser - but I think you already suspect that. The fact that all these people are wanting more from you, indicates that they sense you can truly be someone amazing.
I wish you the best and hope you do actually read postings that people submit.
I have found you a fascinating person to watch but I would like to see inner peace achieved.

| Black & Whites are my favorite type of photos and Mr. Fraser has made excellent use of it's ability to strip away the unnecissary, the distractions that complicate things. I'm surprised, two of my favorite photos of his are not shown. One of WWII backpacks and another of a storefront after Hurican Katrina.... Both are devistatingly Haunting , and exceptional work. | Your photography is unique. I love how you capture motion and how you capture the depth of what is going on around you. My aunt is a photographer and I believe it takes skill to capture such...life or lack there of and bring it out in a photo.
