Tamron AF18-270mm VC Wins Eisa Award: European Travel Lens of the Year 2009-2010
Prestigious EISA Award is the 11th Such Honor for Tamron’s Line of Advanced Optics for Consumer and Professional SLR Cameras
August 15, 2009, Commack, NY – Tamron’s groundbreaking AF18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical (IF) MACRO (Model B003), a high power 15X zoom lens with a proprietary built-in advanced Vibration Compensation (VC) mechanism, has been selected as the winner of the esteemed EISA Photo Award – European Travel Lens of the Year 2009-2010. The lens, which covers a remarkable 28-419mm equivalent in the full frame* 35mm-format, is exclusively designed for digital SLR cameras with APS-C-size sensors.
EISA Awards are presented each year to products judged to be the best in photographic, audiovisual, video and mobile product categories. The winners are determined by the votes cast by members of the EISA (European Imaging and Sound Association), a panel consisting of editors-in-chief and technical editors of about 50 leading and influential magazines in 20 European countries that specialize in photography, audio, video and mobile electronic products. The EISA award is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards a product can receive in its specific category. The honor marks the 11th time Tamron has received this highly prized and internationally recognized award. It is also the fourth consecutive EISA award for Tamron following the 2008-2009 EISA for the AF28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC (Model A20), the 2007-2008 EISA for the AF18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II (Model A18) and the 2006-2007 EISA for the SP AF17-50mm F/2.8 Di II (Model A16).
