October 2008 Rock and Roll Photo of the Month - Carole King

An earnest portrait of Carole King caught at the Beacon Theater in April 1972.

Article rating: 10.00

Carole King-I found this is my files which was shot in April of 1972. "It's too late baby, it's too late..." Carole King. At this time her LP was the biggest seller of all time until "Frampton Comes Alive" came out. Frampton who? :-)

She was doing her show at the Beacon theatre in New York City where I captured this image.

Tri-X 800 ASA pushed 1/60 sec f/4 80-200 lens, available light.

This picture was taken on one of the following 3 evenings --3/5, 6, 7, 1976. Carole King definitely did not play the Beacon in NY prior to those 3 nights. She definitely did not play anywhere in NYC in 1972! Please correct the error.
