Vicki Feinmel

"Photography has been an interest of mine for a long time now, since my teens and even included a moving camera at 16. For me it is a creative way of documenting my life from family holidays to lifetime events. When I became a little older I started traveling and became even more interested in taking pictures. It was hard to believe all the beauty before my eyes and have enjoyed capturing the differences in landscapes, architecture, people, water, flowers and the overall feel of a foreign place.

For the last year I have been taking pictures for my local newspaper. Mostly community and sports events. The sports events are interesting because you're always trying to catch the action...from the moment the ball hits the bat, the slide into home base, that basket in mid-flight to tiny tots kicking the soccer ball for the first time.

I work in the Production Department of a magazine and part of my job is to ensure that millions of copies of each issue get to the printer on time. My favorite part of the day is spent on processing and looking at other people's wonderful photography. I don't think this is coincidental and I look forward to seeing what the future will bring."
